Changing myFaves ringtones
PSA Alert: This is going to be worthless for anyone who either doesn't use the T-Mobile myFaves service plan or is smarter than me (shut up, it's not that many people).
If you agree with the following statements:
- I would like to assign different ringtones for each myFave contact.
- I tried setting the ringtones through Phonebook > Contact list, but it still keeps playing that damn default jingle.
- I don't have the myFaves display showing on the main screen.
Well, you can stop pulling out your hair. Here's the solution:
- Go to Settings > MyFaves settings > Show display.
- Back out to the main screen.
- Press the OK button.
- Press the Options (soft left key) button.
- Select Edit Profile.
- Scroll down 4 fields and press OK.
- The ringtone can be set here.
- Remember to Save.
- Repeat for each myFave contact.
- (Optional) Return to Settings > MyFaves settings > Hide Display.
If you go to the Phonebook > Contact list, the ringtone selection won't have changed. That's because it's aggravating and makes zero sense. What's the point of having two places to change ringtones, but only one place that works? No point, that's what.
It's possible that everyone in the world under 25 has already figured this out and given me a collective "Duh". I can accept that.
